What is water damage?
The liquid itself is usually not damaging to the device.
It can, however, cause a short circuit between multiple components.
This can even happen for the first time several days after the incident!
The liquid inside of the device cannot escape.
Most liquids, including water, leave a residu behind on the components.
This can also cause short circuits and other problems.
Do not turn on or charge!
Turn off your device immediately, do not charge it anymore, and do not turn it back on. Gently dry it with a cloth and bring it to us as soon as possible; the sooner, the greater the chance of a successful repair.
Most common defects with water damage
Laptops
With laptops, it is often the keyboard that is the first to be damaged by water damage.
Smartphones & tablets
The screen almost always fails due to water damage. The charging port, microphone, and speakers are also often damaged, as they usually absorb the majority of the liquid.
How does the repair proceed?
Bringing in
Bring your device in as quickly as possible. The sooner the liquid and residue are removed from the components, the greater the chance of repair.
Cleaning & diagnosis
We clean the device thoroughly inside and out and test all components. We create a report based on this.
Quote & repair
If the device can still be saved, you will receive a quote. Upon agreement, we replace the defective parts, and your device is as good as new again.
